Join us in commemorating the 18th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act --- ADA: Live the Dream.

Features include an art exhibit, a wearable art fashion show, informational workshops on ADA issues, entertainment provided by performers with disabilities, an ADA Help Table, a three-on-three wheelchair basketball exhibit and much, much more.
There will be exhibits from a variety of federal, state and local organizations, as well as Community Resource Providers will be there to answer your questions. The entire event sponsored by the Illinois Department of Human Services is free and accessible.

Access Chicago

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) hosts an annual expo in July that brings together over 100 exhibitors to showcase top disability-related service providers, product merchandisers, assistive technology suppliers and recreational activities under one roof.
Join MOPD at Access Chicago 2008 on Thursday, July 17th at Navy Pier - Festival Hall A from 12 noon to 7 p.m. Access Chicago is free and open to the public.
Attendees can test various disability products and equipment; learn about legal rights, employment incentives, home ownership; and participate in several interactive recreational opportunities such as enabling gardening as well as adaptive miniature golf, fishing, rowing and climbing walls.
