PepsiCo's focus is on building a workforce that represents their consumers. There are 54 million people with disabilities in the United States and the disability community is one of the largest minorities in the nation.
PepsiCo QTG demonstrates best practices by hiring qualified people with disabilities and creating a disability-friendly workplace which includes their enABLE Resource Group as a program available to their employees. This program reaches out to employees with disabilities and those who have chronic health conditions as well as to employees who have family and friends with disabilities.
With one out of every six people in the United States disabled, PepsiCo's goal in both hiring people with disabilities into their workforce and reaching out to consumers with disabilities as customers is good for PepsiCo QTG's bottom line.
