Armenian Delegation Visits disabilityworks
On May 27th, 2009, the Chicagoland Chamber disabilityworks Department hosted eleven delegates from Armenia. Founded as its own democratic country in 1992, Armenia is creating a workforce development program for over 100,000 citizens with disabilities, within their population of three million. Through an interpreter, the delegation came to understand more about American state and federal government workforce and nonprofit programs including programs that serve people with disabilities.

Pictured above, the eleven delegates are mostly high level civil servants, primarily from the Armenian Ministry of Labor. They are pictured with representatives from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Harris Bank, Heartland International as well as disabilityworks staff.
