Diversity and Inclusion Conference
On June 9th, Karen McCulloh, Executive Director of disabilityworks, and Selima Ani, Managing Director of the Chicagoland Business Leadership Network, presented "Disability Doesn't Mean Retirement!: Employment Viability through Workplace Modifications and Accommodations" at the AARP Diversity and Inclusion Conference at the downtown Chicago Marriott. 
With the recent downturn in the economy, older workers are choosing to stay in the workforce longer. As workers age, they are at greater risk for acquiring a disability, or suffering from a chronic illness or condition which impacts their ability to work in the same manner upon which they have traditionally relied. Karen and Selima armed workshop participants with statistics, solutions, resources and educational opportunities to workforce participants.
