ADA and FMLA Resources

The Society of Human Resources has recently listed it's top-selling books and software on the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act. The titles are listed below, and additional details can be found at the SHRM bookstore: www.shrmstore.shrm.org.

For a more dynamic, affordable, and local overview of these topics , the Great Lakes Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) offers telephone assistance, low-cost on-site trainings, as well as live and free access to archived audio conferences and legal webinars. The Great Lakes DBTAC is located at the University of Illinois Chicago Campus. It also funds the Illinois ADA Project, lead by attorney Alan Goldstein.

Finally, member Franczek Radelet maintains a website devoted to the latest in FMLA (www.fmlaregs.com) featuring their popular monthly and one-of-a-kind "FMLA Insights Podcast". The podcast features practical advice on how employers might handle certain situations.
