June 25th, 2010 ADA Teleconference

Next month, the Americans with Disabilities Act ADA celebrates its 20th anniversary. An upcoming teleconference will recognize the accomplishments of the ADA and discuss the challenges that still remain in building a fully inclusive society, especially as they relate to people with psychiatric disabilities.

Speakers include Andy J. Imparato, head of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), Henry Claypool, Director of the Office on Disability at the Department of Health & Human Services and Celia Brown, a mental health advocate for the New York State Office of Mental Health Recipient Affairs and representative to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (CRPD).  Register by June 25 for this training, which will take place June 29, 2010 from 2:30-4:00 p.m., EDT.
