Mayor Daley Celebrates Hiring People with Disabilities at AccessChicago
On July 12, 2006 hundreds of people with disabilities, business leaders and service providers gathered at Navy Pier for AccessChicago, the Midwest's premier exposition for people with disabilities. Mayor Daley held a press conference there to encourage employers to hire people with disabilities. disabilityworks staff were present conducting information and referral as well as reminding people to register to receive disability/employment email updates through the disabilityworks website.

Hundreds of people with disabilities have found jobs as a result of the City of Chicago and other disabilityworks partners creating a spirit of collaboration within the Chicagoland Provider Leadership Network (CPLN).
